Exhibition Applications

The annual deadline of November 15th聽has been extended to December 15th, 2020.

Please watch our website and social media for updated information on applying for an exhibition. A new online submission form will be made available shortly. The s10总决赛下注 will no longer accept physical applications such as CDs, USB thumb drives, or printed photographs.

The Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery presents solo, two-person, and group exhibitions reflecting craft history, contemporary practice, and innovation.

The s10总决赛下注 Gallery prioritizes Saskatchewan craft, but aims to include at least one touring or out-of-province exhibition each year.

For each exhibition selected for the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery program, the s10总决赛下注 will provide installation assistance; insurance; promotion; documentation; administrative labour; and artist royalties to be paid to the artist(s). To assist the s10总决赛下注 with the cost of the aforementioned labour and staffing, a 40% commission will be retained on any sales resulting from an exhibition (exhibitions can include work for sale, or NFS).

The s10总决赛下注 encourages applications from self-identified members of under-served communities. We encourage submissions from Indigenous artists, artists with disabilities, new Canadians as well as people from visible and invisible minorities.

Notification of selections for the next open programming year (Summer 2022 – Winter 2023) will occur in February 2021.

Criteria

The s10总决赛下注 Gallery is committed to showcasing fine craft artists; other forms of visual art may be considered in addition to an exhibition that has a primary focus on craft.

Please ensure your application is complete. Applicants who submit incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information may be deemed ineligible for consideration.

The Curatorial Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the Exhibitions Coordinators. Applicants will be informed of the Curatorial Committee and Exhibitions Department鈥檚 decisions following the curatorial meeting in February. Additional Curatorial Committee meetings may be scheduled as decided by the Exhibitions and Education Coordinators.

Application Process

For your application you will need:

  • Written proposal 鈥 maximum 750 words (doc. or pdf.)
  • CV (supplied by each participating artist) 鈥 maxiumum 2 pages each (doc. or pdf.)
  • Images (maximum 20, jpegs, 72 dpi, 1MB)
  • Image List (artist name, title of work, year made, materials/technique, dimensions [cm])

All images and documents must be uploaded through our online process (TBA).
